FAQ

Why only a "simulated" phone call?

On Android Phones, access to the phone and to the contact list are considered dangerous permissions.  These permissions could affect the user's private information, or could potentially affect the user's stored data or the operation of other apps. The nature of this app does not need those permissions to be effective in its intended use.

How easy to use is the Flyswatter?

Most settings can be preset.  When you are about to encounter someone where you need a priority call to end your meeting, start the app and press "Go."  After the preset delay, the phone plays a ringtone and displays an incoming call screen.  Answer the call.  After your coworker or employee leaves then hang up the call.  It is as simple as that!

How do you set the delay?

The delay is set on a slider control that is set to a logarithmic scale allowing you fine control on shorter delays.  When you start the app, you can set the delay then press "Go" to start the timer.
